I spent a huge part of my downtime in 2025 writing a set of scripture based affirmation cards. Seems super unproductive in the age of AI and automatic solutions and content but it felt necessary both for myself and hopefully for all the people I hope to benefit from it.
The pace to write was slow as I explored scripture as a person trying to find out what God wants me to know about myself through the words and stories in the holy book. There’s a tension of not centralising ourselves in all scripture but rather using scripture to broaden our view of God and therefore ourselves as his beloved children. In a self serving time, this is hard. But I did it, I sat with the Word, the Holy Spirit and found inspiration to produce 35 cards that I hope will increase the readers view of Jesus in their everyday life.
With all my quirks and self doubt, I know this has been true for me. I am abundantly imperfect but more than ever before I see that as a tool by which I can love God more and receive His love for me.
I’m so nervous to release this into the world and have been doubting every single decision but maybe this is also an opportunity for Gods power to be perfected in my weakness.
So the blog section will have more of these coming - specifically to reflect on the journey, to say the quiet learnings out loud and hopefully encourage someone else on a road to be bold and rediscover themselves after a stretch in the wilderness.
